Another Quirks Tag

Well I completely forgot, but I have two tags I am working on and Marie tagged me on this one. I kind of did this one already so I am going to try and reveal new and more quirks about me.

#1 I love making lists and organizing the things that I am doing. Just tonight I made up two possible schedules, for when the Husband goes back to school next semester. I did them on two different spreadsheets. They are incredibly in depth. I really like to be organized in that way.
#2 Baby of Dreams has two sippy cups that she uses. I have to put her juice in the red one and her milk in the green one. It makes sense to me, color wise. I have a very difficult time when the Husband puts milk in the red one or juice in the green one.
#3 I am not sure if this is a quirk or not, but I am struggling here. I have a routine in the shower that I practically never wavier from. I use face wash first, then soap, then shampoo.
#4 I have many, many different nick-names for my baby. I'll try to mention some: Ba-loo, Ba-zoo, Baloo-ber Too-ber, (her first name) Ma-kins-kins, Zoo-bler, Ma-goom-ba, (her first name) Lou. These are just the ones I can think of right now. There really is no story behind any of them, they are just fun to say.
#5 Instead of hanging my clothes up on a regular basis, I have them in a neat pile near the closet and in a neat pile hanging on top of the closet door.
#6 I can move my second toe, on each foot, almost completely independently of the rest of my toes (my big toe moves slightly with it).
#7 I love mixing root beer and milk. It tastes like a root beer float, after you have eaten the ice cream. The husband thinks this is extremely weird.

The Husband

1. Where did you meet your husband? Gresham, Oregon. I was on my mission and the Husband was living with his uncle, preparing to go on his mission.
2. How long did you date before you got married? 3 months (6 weeks dating, 6 week engagement)
3. How long have you been married?4 years on Jan. 14, 2009
4. What does he do that surprises you? Cleans up after me when I need it the most, without being asked.
5. What is your favorite feature of his? His chest. I love to snuggle up on it.
6. What is his best quality? He is extremely conscientious of being a good father.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? He used to call me "Cute" and "Creature", before Baby of Dreams was born.
8. What is his favorite food? Meat
9. What is his favorite sport? He is not big into sports, but he really likes baseball.
10. When and where did you first kiss? We were snuggling on the couch, watching a movie at his parent's house. His brother and girlfriend, now wife, were watching with us. It was sometime right before we were engaged and I do not remember the movie.
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love cooking together.
12. Do you have any children? 1 beautiful little girl, almost 15 months old.
13. Does he have any hidden talents? He sings very well.
14. How old is he? 26
15. Who said 'I love you first? I am not positive, but I think it was him. I wanted to wait and say it when I was pretty sure he was "the one" and he just knew I was cool and he really, really liked me.
16. What is his favorite music? 80's rock. His dad used to listen to it and the Husband grew up with it.
17. What do you admire most about him? His amazing skills as a father and thoughtfulness as a husband.
18. What is his favorite color? I think I will say blue.
19. Will he read this? Probably not. I keep telling him that he should read and even contribute to our blog, but he never remembers to do it.

Good Weekend

It has been an excellent weekend (my weekend goes from Saturday to Monday, because those are the days the Husband has off). We dropped Baby of Dreams off at our good friend's home and then headed over to the temple cafeteria to have dinner. There was a ginormous line when we got to the cafeteria, a youth group was there, but they insisted that we go ahead of them. Dinner was wonderful, the food and the atmosphere. Then our temple session was amazing. It was so good being able to spend time with the Husband in such a wonderful place. We then picked up a box of ice cream and went back over to our friend's home, where Baby of Dreams was, and watched a movie with them. Should I be worried that Baby of Dreams played extremely well with the almost 4-year-old boy and really wouldn't do anything with the little girl her own age? She plays really well with older boys and they seem to think she is the cutest thing in the world. I think we are going to have our hands full with this girl. The only time she was upset, while we were gone, was when she was done eating and really did not want anything else and once when she fell off a small slide. Both pretty reasonable, in my opinion. This was only the third time that both of us had left her. I was a bit nervous still, but felt better after each time, so I guess I am getting more used to it.
The Husband was able to go to church with us on Sunday and that was wonderful too. We made pizza together and then watched a great family movie. Today we just sort of hung around the house and then were able to take Baby of Dreams to a hay bale maze at a pumpkin patch and then to the park. Then we went out to eat with the Husband's brother and his wife and their baby. All in all it has been a very good and happy weekend.

Journals

Okay, so after the temple post I thought, 'I really need to go to bed, I am extremely tired.' So what do I do? I read though all of my blogs, from the beginning. I then proceeded to fix all the grammatical errors that I found. Then I realized that I haven't written very much and one of my purposes of starting this blog was to keep a journal of our family. I guess it is better than nothing, but it still isn't very good. I need to do better. I also found a website, on someone else's blog, that will really come in handy for the whole journal idea. The Temple

Yipp-idy do daw! The Husband and I get to go to the temple on Saturday, although we might move it up to Thursday, depending on the babysitting situation. It has been a bit since we went, so I am extremely excited. It is pretty silly, we can see the Moroni statue from our bathroom window, (my mother-in-laws favorite aspect of our house) but it is just as hard for us to get to the temple as if we lived 100 miles away. And just in case anyone was wondering, I LOVE THE HUSBAND and would marry him all over again.

What Is the Sense In That

Have you ever been too tired to go to bed? I do this all the time and it is incredibly silly of me. I get so tired that just the thought of getting up and getting ready for bed, exhausts me. So I sit on the sofa, wishing that I could just instantaneously transport myself to bed with all of my bedtime rituals already done, and becoming even more tired. Why can't I just go to bed when I first feel tired? I just don't know, but I think I have finally talked myself into going to bed tonight.

Family Picture

I have noticed that I haven't put many pictures up here lately, so here we go. This is our latest, self-taken, family picture. I know Baby of Dreams dosen't look too happy, but we were extremely lucky that she wasn't screaming. We had just gotten home from church and it was nap time. This was taken in the middle of September and I have since cut my hair. I guess I will try to get a picture of my new haircut up here sometime.

I don't exactly know how to link this to anything, but I will try after I finish writing this, which may take a while because it sounds like Baby of Dreams just woke up. This will be a work in progress. I have been thinking long and hard about this and have concluded that this is hard.
( I Figured out how to do the linking thing two days after I wrote the rest of this.)

#1 I hate mint. Peppermint, spearmint, mint anything that is minty. I have been brushing my teeth with Crest Sparkle for Kids, for as long as I can remember. The smell of mint makes me nauseous. I even have a hard time when people are chewing mint gum around me. I do like wintergreen though and mint chocolate chip ice cream is okay. Don't ask why, I have no clue.

#2 As soon as I learned how to write in cursive, and my teachers let me, I started writing in print agian. If I write anything, it is in print. It is just neater that way. I do sign my name in cursive, for the most part.

#3 I love checking in on other's blogs. I have a list here of the people I have official links to, but in my bookmarks I have a huge list of blogs that I follow. These are old friends, past aqquaintances, old boyfriends and kids that grew up in my home ward. Does this make me stalkerish or just nosey?

#4 I have to fold my bath towels in a certian way. I fold them in half and then half again and then in thirds. If my husband folds them for me, I have to refold them.

#5 I take our camera to most important events and often never take any pictures. I usually just forget to take the pictures after doing everything possible to remember to take the camera. Along the lines of picture taking, I love digital cameras. I used to take a lot of pictures with my 110 camera and my 35mm camera. I have a gallon sized bag of film that needs to be developed, some of the film is from middle school.

#6 I think that my baby is the most gorgeous baby in the history of the world. I am sorry, but it is the truth. I am guessing that this is a quirk of all mothers. I seriously can't think of any other quirks at this time though.
