Baby of Dreams Has An Announcement

As some of you, but not many of you, know. Baby of Dreams is going to be a big sister sometime around July 27th. I am not exactly sure of the due date yet, just because we haven't been to the Dr. yet for our first appointment. We will be going on Jan. 5th so hopefully we will know slightly more after that. I have been pretty sick for the past three weeks, so I am sure that this baby is extremely healthly. I am 10 weeks along now and would like to believe that the sickness will leave when I start my 2nd trimester, but am not putting any stock in that actually happening. I was sick with Baby of Dreams until month 5. We are all very excited about "Gub Gub". I was talking to Baby of Dreams one morning about the new baby and it sounded like she called it Gub Gub and the name just stuck. We waited to tell our parents on Christmas Eve and they were all pretty excited too.

I have more updates, but they will have to wait until later, because Baby of Dreams is really done with her nap and needs lunch. Come to think of it, Gub Gub really needs lunch too. I'll try to update sooner than later.

Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Night

The Husband came home sick this morning and slept most of the day. He has some type of flu. Baby of Dreams and I spent the day playing, grocery shopping, napping and playing some more. The Husband woke up at 5:00pm and spent the rest of his evening confined to the couch. At least he hasn't thrown up again. We tried to not let Baby of Dreams climb on him or get too close. I put her down at 7:00pm and stayed up with the Husband for a while longer and then went to bed. I woke up around 1:00am because Baby of Dreams was sad and also making strange noises. I went in to her and realized that lunch was all over her crib, including her brand new tiger from Grandma. Now Baby of Dreams spit up a lot when she was smaller, but this was nothing like it. I grabbed her and ran her downstairs, where luckily the Husband is feeling a bit better. He stripped her down and gave her a bath while I tackled the crib. I took the sheet outside to dump off the particles and wasn't as careful as I should have been. I sprayed myself with the sick and almost lost my own dinner twice. Everything is now safely in the wash and washing in hot water. I now need to take a shower. I get in the shower and can't get anything more then slightly luke warm water. I had not taken into consideration that one baby bath + one load of hot laundry + our water heater do not = a hot shower for me. So I burst into tears, get out of the shower and am now sitting on the couch, smelling throwup, telling my woes to the world. (The Husband has kindly taken Baby of dreams and is sitting with her in the office.) Interesting that my first thought after destroying my water heater, was to write about it. I do feel a bit better though. And I am going to be checking the water for correct temperature very soon.
